Massimiliano has won the Fourth Prize at the Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition

Massimiliano Turchi has just won the Fourth Prize at the Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition, and with this he also ensured the partecipation as a finalist at the Competition in Malta in 2021.

The Competition in Malta will be the one with the highest prize pool ever released in history, and only winners of some Competitions around the world in 2019 and 2020 will be eligible to partecipate.

TulipDuo has moved to China!

Massimiliano and Eleonora have been invited as teachers (Massimiliano as Piano and Chamber Music, Eleonora as Violin, Viola and Chamber Music) at the Souland Music Institute in Hangzhou, China.

Since May 2019 they are professionals taking part of a strong team with the aim of preparing students to study in colleges and important Music Schools in Europe and in the world.

TulipDuo selected as performer at the Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Festival

The Duo has been selected as one of the eight young perfomers at the Birmingham International Piano Chamber Music Festival 2018.

The Festival also has a competition, awarding the best perfomers out of the eight groups selected.

They will perform on the 22nd of November 2018 at 13:15 (local time) at the Recital Hall of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (200 Jennens Road, B4 7XR)

The program includes: Schumann Sonata in A minor, Op.105, Respighi Sonata in B minor, P.110

First Prize at the International Music Competition “Rizzardo Bino” of Brescia

TulipDuo won the First Prize in the Chamber Music category at the International Music Competition “Rizzardo Bino” of Brescia.

In the program, they played pieces of Mozart and Respighi.

Performance at Vught Klassiek, 24th of June

The duo is going to perform this Sunday 24th of June at 15 at the Conference Hotel Landgoed Huize Bergen organized by Vught Klassiek.

The program will have the Violin Sonata in D major KV 306 of Mozart, three romances by Clara Schumann and, after the break, the Respighi Violin Sonata P.110.

Graduation of Eleonora and Massimiliano: Bachelor and Master

In the past weeks not many updates came out, but for a reason: Eleonora graduated in the Bachelor in Violin Performance at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam the 13th of June and Massimiliano graduated in the Master of Piano Performance the 19th.

Both had very high grades, and received a large amount of compliments from the jury and the audience.

In the performance at Eleonora’s exam the Respighi Violin Sonata received the highest grade, as well as an “Excellent performance, nothing to say”.

During the exam of Massimiliano, the most touching moment has been the Suite Bergamasque of Debussy, receiving comments from the jury such as “Real moments of Poetry there”, “Huge personal attitude and artistry”.

TulipDuo performing at De Hallen Amsterdam

Sunday 13th of May the TulipDuo is going to perform during an event full of artists and music at De Hallen in Amsterdam.
